The Home Safety checklist will give you practical tips on how to avoid falls, sprains and strains while pulling those stubborn weeds. For example, when you’re gardening avoid heavy lifting and use long-handled tools so you’re not bending over for long periods. Steady yourself when bending and standing, no pesky weed is worth falling for!
A new movement called Live Stronger for Longer is helping to reduce the risk of falls by providing practical information and free resources. We want to help you stay on your feet, and living the life you want to live.
Take the home safety checklist with your friends and family and join the movement today.
Proudly brought to you by ACC, HQ&SC, MOH and your local community health providers.

During this time of giving, give a gift for good to help those who need it most. You can easily help them with warmth, water, meals, shelter, community outreach and welfare centre support.

At 10.30 pm last night Sat 1st December I was driving down Fergusson drive from Upper Hutt towards Trentham.
Just before I past McHardie Street I saw a cat lying on the side of the road. I pulled over to find this absolutely gorgeous and well looked after ginger cat injured. I can only assume hit by a car and left 😡. We scooped him/her up and myself and my husband rang around to find an emergency vet to take him/her too but unfortunately on route he/she passed away. I just can stop thinking that a family out there will be wondering where the gorgeous cat has gone and I wanted to reach out to see if anyone knows of anyone in the Trentham area who can’t find their cat.
If you do please do let me know all I can say is their cat was not alone when he/she passed I was cuddling him/her in my arms talking and kissing him/her.
