The recycling station is supposed to be open to 8 pm, so with 7 hours to go, many more people are going to come away frustrated by the council's inaction to provide a proper recycling stations throughout the city. I have previously emailed the the Mayor about this ongoing problem, but of course I didn't receive any answer from him or his executive. Maybe the Upper Hutt leader can investigate and shame the council into taking action to provide more bins or to have the bins emptied more regularly.

Do you think plastic straw is not good for the environment, but paper straws will quickly become soggy in the water? Now there is a new type of straw, it is good for the environment, stay firm in the water, and with very reasonable price (even cheaper than paper straws). Especially for the neighbours own a restaurant, bar or café, I think this new type straw will reduce your cost, and at the same time increase customer satisfaction. If you are interested, please reply under this post. :) Cheers Sharon
