I had back surgery 2 yrs ago and has long term limitation abilities as in standing, walking ,climbing up stairs and high risk of falls. I am living in a rental house for the last 8yrs and now the owners of the property has decided to sell the house.I was given notice to vacate the house by October. Based on my limitations in doing certain tasks and keeping my house a safe place , the house that I am looking for need to have the following requirements or design.
They are :
No stairs/No steps
One level
Shower (No shower in bath) I had several falls in the bath in the past
Low maintenance garden or courtyard
Single access internal garage- so will be easy for me to walk into the house in carrying laundry or shopping
Pets friendly as my cats are house trained and indoor cats (3)
I have always paid my rent on time over the years of living in rental property. I can still drive. I do my best to keep the house clean and I do get home help from the hospital once a week.
I am willing to pay $400 - $550 per week .
I don't have much time and need to move out by mid October.
Please if anyone knows of rental house with the above requirements or have house for rent, please contact me at

The Illustrated Cottage: A Decorative Fairy Tale Inspired by Provence

Nina Williams

Hearst Books, 2000. Hardback, 134 pages, colour.

Excellent condition.

Country Living editor Ni a Williams had never visited Provence, yet visions of that fabled French region permeated her dreams.

And so, with a little help from some talented artists, she transformed her own simple Denver home (inside and out) into a small bit of Proven al heaven.

Everywhere trompe l'oeil murals turn the walls into a storybook peopled with imaginary characters and landscapes from a tiny imaginary Proven al village. And each detail, from the ceramic dishes to the small soaps in the bathroom to the wrought iron furniture on the patio, has the perfect Proven al touch. Williams herself explains her inspiration, and the reasons behind all her choices. A pure delight and true original,

With the 75+ population projected to double in 20 years’ time, it’s more important than ever to choose a retirement village that is equipped to support you when you’re fully independent as well as if you need care.

That’s why Ryman villages plan ahead by offering independent living in apartments and townhouses, assisted living in serviced apartments, resthome care and, in most villages, hospital and specialist dementia care.

We offer a higher ratio of care in our villages so that if your needs change, you have priority access to our care centres.

If you want to spread a little kindness in our community in a simple but meaningful way, have you thought about joining Good Bitches Baking?
As our list of deserving recipients in Hamilton grows we need more Good Bitches (gender inclusive btw) to get on board and volunteer. There is no requirement to be a pro-baker, I certainly am not. Just some home baking, once a month or so, that can be picked up from your home. And if baking isn't your thing, some people volunteer to simply collect and deliver the baking! www.gbb.org.nz...
