Shame people don't have rights anymore, we are in a world where freedom of speech is no longer allowed nor is it heard.

Thanks to many of you - I have started to get my garden back on track, sold eggs, purchased additional furniture and have a new aviary "in the wings" (hah) with all the treasure you've donated.
It's been awesome and I have to say - although originally unsure of the value of the site - I am 100% a fan.
Happy Holidays / Safe travels etc to you all and here's to a very neighbourly new year :)

I am seeking the following items (was going to just head to Bunnings but thought maybe you guys / my neighbours might have things to sell / get rid of, so I'll start here!)
Mesh / Chicken wire
Wood (of assorted shapes, sizes & types)
Tree stump (singular! Only need one)
Kids (size) broken bicycle (Will not be for riding)
Corrugated iron (ideally long lengths) or something to use as a roof (if you have something better, I am all ears, thanks!)
Wooden lattice 'bits' (I should go into marketing hah)
Polystyrene (ideally large sheets)
And IDEAS - I need ideas too - please!
This particular project is to create a fun aviary / play area for my pet magpie. When I have visitors I have to lock her away because she's (spring has sprung and she's feeling very protective! ie PSYCHO lol) decided everyone has feet wot need attacking.. So while she's incarcerated, I figure she should have some fun ..
So as I say, ideas for fun things she could have in the enclosure would be great too .. thanks everyone!
And yes that's her pictured, asleep on my german shepherd's feet ;)
She isn't always horrid lol

Neighbours Day Aotearoa wants to celebrate those people, so we are introducing the NEIGHBOURHOOD CHAMPIONS. Each month we will be sending a wee gift of thanks to the neighbourhood champion of the month. How does it work? You can nominate a champion in your neighbourhood by emailing kiaora@neighboursday.org.nz with the story, a picture if you have one, and your neighbourhood champion's contact number or address if you have it so we can get in touch with the if they win. We will post the story and the picture on our facebook page. The story that gets the most likes that month wins the gift of thanks. Our first gift is this beautiful Pohutukawa Pendant from Paul Harris Art and Design .... perfect summer gift, and a perfect gift of thanks.
