In some parks and reserves the damage has been so great that it is taking a team of nine four days to clean up. Our people plus contractors are working extended hours to get things back to normal and we ask for your patience as we battle through it. Please note dogs are not allowed on any playgrounds in Hastings. The bylaw allows for fines of up to $300. If you see someone with a dog on a playground please get as much information as possible, call 871 5000, and ask that the information be passed to the animal control team. No dog signs for the new playground are being produced and should be up next week.
