There are about half a dozen old solid Rimu workstations from the Intermediate School Home Ec room. They have built in cupboards and shelves and despite the eye-watering baby blue paint they are in fantastic shape. The worktops are even in nearly mint condition!
The tops measure 70cm deep x 125cm wide x 80cm high. I put steel casters on mine and it's going to be great when I get the paint stripped off. And, it was only $25! Want one now, don't you?!
There are also art stations with removable top stands and casters on the bottom; single and double wooden school desks; shelves and bookcases. Plus more.
Pop into the school by the end of the week to have a look or grab one. Any left next week will be sent to the auction house and they will charge a lot more than $25!

Does anyone have kids collecting these? I have the 3 shown in the photo. I drive around most areas of Hastings/havelock so I can drop off into your letterbox sometime this week. Sorry Flaxmere is a bit out of my way.

So to cut a long story short please feel free to come and see a demo of Tai Chi and give it a go maybe at the same time. I'm told it's very therapeutic!
We will also be giving away some vouchers to try a class of your choice for free, doesn't get better than that.
So we'll be at the hall of St Luke's this Friday the 2nd (rear of the church, 24 Te Mata road) from 9.30 onwards with the presentation starting at 10.
Pass this info on to anyone you think could benefit.

I have always appreciated living near people with dogs, cos I figure they're cheap alarm systems! Where do people draw the line between "dogs bark / are guard dogs" and "this is a pain in the ass and I want that dog to not be in my ear-space"?

We are having our very large walnut tree cut down. We've been told the wood is valuable. Could anyone point us in the right direction to sell it? Thanks
