It was bright and happy with lots of stalls and plenty of visitors but the highlight was live music by Rose and Daryl. They really lifted the mood and had us all foot-tapping and humming along. Caution was urged because of surface water south and west of Hastings, on SH2 between Pakipaki and Waipukurau and on SH50 between Fernhill and Tikokino. MetService said heavy rain that fell in Hawke's Bay overnight was expected to last into early afternoon Thursday.
