I am inviting everyone to join who is suffering from anxiety, depression, abuse or addiction, stress or simply having breathing problems. This meet up group which is presently growing will conduct regular group meetings in the application and experience of breathwork. It is fundamentally a breathing technique which helps to connect to often underlying and less conscious causes of stress and to help to resolve or remove them using the breathing itself as the tool and helper. The term Rebirthing here has no religious affiliation but more so one of being in spirit, inspired and inspirational to remove obstacles of trauma in its many forms from our life so we may live a life with much more freedom and peace and compassion. Something we all could do with some more in times like these. You can join this group or contact me directly here . Looking forward to meet you. I have not set a date for our first meetup event but like to have at least 6-11 people willing to come before I start booking a venue. If you have done some breathwork sessions before or attended a workshop these group meeting still can be very valuable to anyone who knows about the breath and its gifts and secrets it holds. See you soon.

Thanks to the brave and quick actions of these members of the public (pictured centre and centre right) – an offender who was trying to make a getaway after stealing money from a Henderson dairy was stopped and swiftly arrested. 👏

Earlier this month, one of the owners of the store was working behind the counter when a man entered the store and demanded money.

He walked behind the counter to the cash register and took a large sum of money, but the owner very quickly managed to activate the anti-theft smoke canon and the offender fled the shop.

Seeing what happened, the members of the public chased the offender and caught him, holding him until Police arrived soon afterwards.

He was then arrested and taken into custody.

A 40-year-old man has been charged with theft and was due to appear in the Waitakere District Court last week.

The money taken was returned to the dairy owners (pictured on the left), who were very grateful to those who stepped in to help.

A great result and example of people going above and beyond to look out for people in their local community.

Hi neighbours,

Have you noticed that your windows are stiff, or the handle is a bit loose?
Depending on age, quality and probably a little bit determined by luck, different parts of a window can’t work anymore:

• Locking pins no longer lock exactly
• Window handle is difficult or difficult to turn
• Window sash does not fit properly in the frame (must be lifted or pushed in)
• Window handle wobbles

If you have windows that are stiff to open or close or leave big draught gaps give us a call on 0800 25 25 00 for a free estimate.
Hinges can easily be replaced without worrying about the cost of replacing the whole window.

The Exceed we fix windows & doors team :)

We'd love to hear about the great places you've discovered over your summer holidays, whether it's somewhere local or on a trip away. Did you come across a particularly amazing beach, camping ground, town, walk or scenic spot? What made it so special? Any activities or places to eat and drink you can recommend in the area would also be much appreciated. As usual, please include 'NFP' (not for publication) in your comment if you don't want it included in a travel article.
Cheers.

We know we live in a very special country – just look at COVID!
But there are also other reasons. For decades we have been fighting a long battle against nuclear annihilation, and in a few days (21 January) an amazing treaty will come into effect; the TPNW (Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons). No, it won’t make all the weapons disappear immediately, but it will mean that nearly two thirds of the world’s nations are telling the nuclear weapons states that that is what needs to happen. NZ has taken a strong leadership role in getting to this stage with our Disarmament Ambassador, Dell Higgie. This is an historic achievement, so join in the great celebration of this event on Thursday, 21st January, 12.20-2.30pm on-line.
