Now the government is blackmailing us by saying if we don't have it in the water by the 26th of October they will fine the Council $200,000 then $10,000 per day after the deadline. I personally think that it is disgraceful to make this compulsory mass medication on the say so of the Dental association, who are focused solely on dental hygiene and not on the fact that we will be forced to swallow a highly toxic heavy metal byproduct of the Aluminium smelting process. Look back to recent problems with this toxic waste being stored around the district adjacent to the Bluff smelter, lying in derelict buildings because there is nowhere safe to dispose of it. Mahe Drysdale is opposed to it, yet he was outvoted by the rest of the Council. There has been no public consultation on this highly controversial issue which has been declined in the past for the above reasons. I thought mass medication was a thing of the past, outlawed because of the lack of freedom of choice after WW2 and the Nazi's use of it.

According to REINZ Chief Executive Jen Baird, while the market remains subdued, there is a noticeable rise in positivity and confidence that things will continue to improve as we approach the end of the year. Despite lingering challenges such as the cost of living, many believe that the downward trend of interest rates will lead to a gradual recovery as we move into 2025.💰🏘️

Owner-occupiers and first home buyers were the most active buyer groups, with early enquiry from investors and retirees in Tauranga. Most vendor expectations were realistic and willing to meet market expectations. Others were still a bit optimistic and hoped for higher prices. Attendance at open homes improved, as those attending were well-researched buyers ready to transact as interest rates declined and the weather improved.☀️
