This is not enforced by the police, and council staff do not have the power to issue infringements or forcibly remove individuals who are breaching the bylaw without a Court order. Council is proposing to remove the provisions from the bylaw as it considers a bylaw is not the most appropriate way of addressing the perceived problem in relation to begging and rough sleeping in Tauranga. Christmas lighting - hang Christmas decorations over this lovely tree and jazz it up.
Suitable for other occasions like Easter - nests of eggs in the tree.
Room lighting - more subtle than a lamp.

The Emergency Services Food Drive is the emergency services ( Police, Fire, Ambulance and Emergency Management ) teaming up together to collect any food that residents can donate to those in need through the Tauranga Salvation Army.

This year, the Tauranga Emergency Services Team will be driving through the suburb of BETHLEHEM in the early evening of Wednesday, 4th December 2019. All is required is to leave a small plastic bag of groceries by the letterbox or send the kids out when you hear us driving along ( sirens and lights /horns/loudhailers expected ). They will do their best, but not all suburban streets will be covered. Donations can be made at countdown stores, and Tauranga I-site also.
