All non-essential businesses were required to shut their doors once the coronavirus lockdown came into effect, with only supermarkets and pharmacies among the few still trading.
However, the government has made changes to the essential services list, allowing a number of retailers the opportunity to open their doors and sell select products they deemed essential to life in New Zealand. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) announced the changes on Tuesday.
Here's a link with an update of which shops will be open for the remainder of lockdown and what you can purchase from them.

Now is a great time to focus on your garden. Whether you have a large garden or a small balcony, growing vegetables is a great way to keep busy and enjoy the fruits (or vegetables) of your labour.

All time and administration is given for free meaning we have zero overheads other than courier costs and every cent in donations we get goes towards more face shields.
We feel we have a collective responsibility to help preserve those who protect us.
Every $10 someone donates pays for raw materials for one more mask that we can give away. We need money to help pay for more raw materials.

This is a friendly reminder to please scoop the poop when you’re out walking your dog.
Please also consider keeping your dog on a leash at all times. Not everyone appreciates being approached by dogs, especially when we’re all trying to maintain a safe distance from each other.
