Then, he was invited to join a Graeme Dingle Foundation programme, which introduced him to the outdoors.
After the wilderness adventure, Sam became more confident and self-assured, and his teachers noticed a positive change in his sociability and willingness to ask questions in class.
He developed a "give-it-a-go" attitude. Inspired by his newfound passion for the outdoors, Sam plans to join the New Zealand Defence Force after finishing school.

If you can catch them or if you have a beehive or a shed where he can catch them for you, please get in touch. He will give you a mini mars bar for each cockroach found and we can pick up from your letterbox. Thanks so much. - Five patients were transported to Tauranga Hospital, one of whom is in a serious condition.
- The road is blocked off while the scene is cleared and motorists are advised to expect delays.
