Rubbish day was yesterday, obviously the workers for the council don't bother to clean up anything that has fallen out of the bins when lifted into truck. Have also noticed lots of broken glass around the time of collection. We never had this problem when the other contractors were doing the job. We are paying more, for a less than standard job by the council.

You may have seen the post doing the rounds on social media at the moment asking whether English is spoken here and suggesting NZ is a state of Australia (see below). Please put 'NFP' (not for publication) in your comment if you do not want it or your name included in the article. Thanks very much for your help and happy travels.

Upcoming Tours: Feel the Fear & Do It Anyway!

With the country opening up, people will have to make a choice as to how long they are going to stay shut away, as it looks as though 'the bug' is going to be ever present. Most of us have been double-vaxxed & boosted, are careful about hand-washing & are conscious of other measures to take to avoid, not only Covid, but several other viruses. Maybe it's time to practise other sayings: "Feel the fear & do it anyway" & "Life is too short. Smell the roses. Eat the chocolate. Drink the wine".
