It may be small things and I have contacted both the council and BOP Times to see if there is a contact person for this group. The reporter from the times thought this make a good story and it would help get this message out to everyone. The reporter is going to contact someone from this group and see if they are ok with this first. I read that one person is paying $1000 per week for their two dogs, maybe there is someone out in the community that can house these dogs until their owner has a new home to go to? There may be other things that we can assist with, keep you updated.

Often, when we bring up a mattress protector when selling a mattress, We get an immediate “no” as soon as we start talking, the customer fearing being “up sold.” Other times, the customer laughs and proclaims proudly that they don’t “pee the bed,” not realizing all of the other fluids that the human body produces. It baffles us that so many people sleep on the mattress without a mattress protector. So what does a mattress protector do? Check this post to know why do you need a Mattress protector goo.gl...

Hi all,

We are a small group dedicated to improving the water quality in the Rangataua Harbour primarily by fencing and planting the margins of the Waitao Stream in native plants. We meet on a fortnightly basis to plant or prepare plants for planting (collecting seeds, potting up etc.) Anyone interested in helping out is always welcome.

Our next planting is on Sunday 22nd April @ 498 Waitao Road between 10am - 12pm (with a cup of tea and light snacks to follow). All you need is a spade (if you like digging holes) or gloves if you would prefer to plant :) Some good shoes or boots are also recommended.

This is a great opportunity to come along and meet some of your neighbours (especially if you live in the Welcome Bay area) and also to do your bit for future proofing our environment.

Anyone interested in finding out more can give me a call on 0212317082 or email waitaolandcare@gmail.com or send me a message through Neighbourly.

Thanks,
Matt

I have analysed what they told me and distilled their thoughts into these 7 lessons.
