Looking for a house to rent in the Otumoetai area for myself and my two boys ( aged 15 and 10) due to unforseen circumstances have had to relocate due to the owner of my previous house having passed away and the son placing the house on the market, have been fortunate enough to have a place … View moreLooking for a house to rent in the Otumoetai area for myself and my two boys ( aged 15 and 10) due to unforseen circumstances have had to relocate due to the owner of my previous house having passed away and the son placing the house on the market, have been fortunate enough to have a place temporarily in Papamoa however as it is a beach house only able to rent up until Dec the 1st so needing something prior to this to move into, have great references and can show a good payment history of rent payments, I run my own lunchbar so tend to leave at 6 in the morning with my boys and dont return until around 5-6 at night, if you have anything available now or coming up then please let me know, would be very much appreciated,

Omanu Beach users are being advised to take caution while an asbestos decontamination process is taking place. Asbestos warning signs and blocks are positioned at the beach access way on Oceanbeach Road near the Omanu Surf Club.

Four men targeted an Athenree orchard in the Bay of Plenty, but fled before police arrived. Police said they were expecting a spike in thefts from avocado orchards because of soaring avocado prices.
If anyone spots suspicious behaviour or vehicles hanging around orchards, they should call their police station. Orchardists should consider reinforcing shelter belts with fencing, sensor lights, and concealed trail cameras. Advise neighbours when you're absent to keep watch over the property.
If anyone is offered a significant amount of avocados from an unofficial source at a heavily discounted price, they should report it to police.
