The plans have been given new momentum after the city transformation committee decided to demolish the old row of council-owned buildings opposite the Cargo Shed.
These plans for the development of Dive Cres involve finalising the deal to vest ownership of the 3400sq m strip of land on the seaward side of Dive Cres - from the boundary of Trinity Wharf hotel to Bobby's Fresh Fish Market.

Is Intercity the only option for travelling from Tga to main Centres apart from flying of course if not wanting to drive? Will be interesting to see if things like $1 fares stop if Intercity has become a Monopoly. Luckily I got mine early in the year with Intercity once I knew my flight times for later in the year. Did get a message from Intercity a few weeks back that Manukau bus stop was to change from end of July to around the side of the building. Does anyone know if one can then catch the 380 bus to the airport from there as well rather than having to go around to where they both used to stop and why the change? Am hoping it'll still be safe enough to wait for the next 380 bus to the airport as I arrive at Manukau mid eve. Looks like the new bus stop is on the side where the main shopping centre carpark is.

If you're not aware, there is a government subsidy for children 3 years and older that provides for 20 hours free Early Childhood Education (ECE) care at approved facilities.
Some parents also need care for younger children as they need to get back to work. This would imply that there are family financial pressures involved and it doesn't make sense to us that there's no government support to help those families out.
So, to help our local community we have a special for two days childcare for only $35.00. This special applies to children under 2 years old.
Feel free to let someone who needs this know, and if you or a friend are really stuck then come and talk to us at Grow and see how we can help.

• In general you’re entitled to 5 days’ of sick leave each year after you’ve worked for your employer for 6 months.
• You can accumulate any unused sick leave up to a total of 20 days.
• Sick leave can be used when you’re sick or when you need to be off work to look after someone else who is sick or injured (your partner, child, or someone who relies on you for care).
• Even if you’re a part-time or casual worker, you’re still entitled to 5 days’ of sick leave a year (once you’ve worked for 6 months continuously or for an average of 10 hours per week, and at least one hour in every week or 40 hours in every month).
• Your employer can require you to provide a medical certificate if you’re sick for 3 or more days in a row, and you’ll need to pay to get it. If they want proof of sickness sooner then they will have to pay the costs of getting the proof.
These are the minimum sick leave entitlements. Your employer can agree to give you more.
Check out our website for more information about sick leave and other employment rights and responsibilities. If you’ve got questions get in touch with a CAB near you, call us on 0800 367 222 (0800 FOR CAB), or contact us online.
