Banks Reserve, Banks Avenue is the launch point for Mount Maunganui’s ‘Walk for Freedom.’
The 3km walk is to raise awareness about modern day slavery and also fundraise for the amazing organisation A21 that works on the front line to rescue, rehabilitate and prevent human trafficking. A21 has 14 offices in 12 countries around the world with the aim to reach, rescue and restore. A21’s mission is to end slavery. There are an estimated 40.3 million people trapped in modern day slavery. Come raise your voice and be a voice for the voiceless.
Participating in the walk costs nothing more than two hours of your time. And all are welcome.
