Hi Waikato,
Do you think the 100kmh speed limit on our roads is too fast? A Landmark report is suggesting our rural roads should be reduced to 70kmh. So, is it a good idea? Reply, and let us know.

The work for both sites is to be completed this weekend weather permitting. Signage reflecting these changes will be installed. Further signage will be placed on State Highway 1 to direct traffic to other entrances into Taupō, to take pressure off Wairakei Drive at peak times.
Further changes are proposed in the short, medium and long term to improve traffic flow through Taupo's CBD and ease congestion at Norman Smith Street/Wairakei Drive.
These changes are outlined in the Long-term Plan available from Monday, March 12 and we welcome submissions from the community on the proposed changes.
