One more week to go until we start to receive our voting papers in the mail (20th to 25th September).

Hi I’m Mo, first-time candidate running for Taupō District Council. You may have seen my profile in the Taupō & Tūrangi Weekender on Thursday. I wanted to let you know a little more about what I stand for, which is:
• Inclusivity – meeting the needs of our entire district, diverse in culture and perspective.
• Protection of our environment - restoring green spaces and waterways and promoting green initiatives.
• Ensuring future generations are not overburdened with meeting the cost of living in our beautiful district.
• Prioritisation of spending on essential services – tackling infrastructure issues before entering into other large-scale financial commitments.
• Better communication - between Council and our community.
• A more representative council - younger voice, fresh perspective, free from ties to big business.

Please get in touch if you have any questions for me. I’d love to hear from you.
