Road closure on Tuwharetoa Street Friday, December 1

Please be aware Tuwharetoa Street between Tongariro and Ruapehu streets, as well as the car park, will be closed from 3pm to 9pm tomorrow (Friday).

Some of the cars that will be racing in the Speed Works Motorsport New Zealand Championship at Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park will be on display on Tuwharetoa Street so go and check them out tomorrow avo!

New footpath on Huka Falls Road

Cyclists and pedestrians will soon have a new footpath to use along Huka Falls Road.

A 1.5m wide concrete footpath starting opposite Clearwater Lane is now under construction and will stretch 1.4km along the road towards the falls.

Cyclists and pedestrians will soon have a new footpath to use along Huka Falls Road.

A 1.5m wide concrete footpath starting opposite Clearwater Lane is now under construction and will stretch 1.4km along the road towards the falls.

The footpath should be completed in February 2018 and later in the year this will be extended on to the Huka Falls. The road will remain open, but a stop/go system may be used to ensure safety for workers and road users.​
