Instead of encouraging people to be overly cautious during the silly season, we wanted to share our injury prevention tips in a more interesting way.
Based on the traditional Christmas song we all know and love, we created a video series featuring 12 weird and not so wonderful injuries we saw from last Christmas, and tips on how to avoid them!

They are not for those of you who are too lazy to walk the extra 20 feet or so to the door, they are not for those of you that are "only going to be 5 minutes", they are not for those of you who are overweight and find it a struggle to walk any further.
They are for people with DISABILITIES. And unless you have a valid CCS permit that is clearly displayed, you can't park there. You must use YOUR OWN PERMIT, not mum's or dad's or grandma's... Yours. Apparently it will cost you a $650 fine if you are reported by someone.. and well deserved if you want to park there when you're not supposed to.
So if you park where I can't (because your not supposed to be there), don't be surprised if I block you in while I go about my business. And remember, our attitude towards you when you get caught out on this is often directly attributed to your attitude towards us for bringing it to your attention.
With the summer holidays arriving in earnest, Aucklanders will soon be heading out to our city’s many parks, ranges and islands to walk, swim and play. While enjoying these holiday activities, remember to keep our kauri trees in mind.
