Poll: School holiday poll
There has been some talk recently which moots changing our official summer holidays period and in particular the school holidays. Some are saying the unsettled weather over December and early January is almost the norm nowadays , with the weather we expect in summer not really kicking in until February and March. There are several ways of doing this which would still allow the normal Christmas and New Year stat days being observed, but the lengthy 3-5 week break would be delayed most likely to mid February to mid March. What are your thoughts? I

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
