Term three is well underway, and we would love to know how many extra-curricular activities your children are taking part in this term.
Do you think children should play a sport/learn an instrument/commit to extra study after school? Or do you think after school hours should be dedicated to the likes of resting, homework or doing chores?
What do your children take part in and why?
Is there too much pressure on parents to sign children up for activities, or do the benefits outweigh the negatives?

For example, Jan had two painters provide quotes for some painting and wallpaper work. She chose her painter and the work was completed. Two weeks later she noticed bumps and lumps in the wallpaper, that she hadn’t noticed at the time the bill was paid.
With a faulty product, you can return it and ask for a repair, replacement or refund. But that’s not so easy with a service! But Jan’s story ended well, the painter came back and rectified the problem at no cost to Jan.

With an estimated 300,000 mattresses and bases sent to landfill every year in New Zealand. That’s the equivalent of twenty-five 20-foot shipping containers filled with these units every single day it is really important for all of us to dispose of our old beds responsibly.

I live at Lake Tarawera and go around blue lake regularly and my dogs sniffed out this rubbish on Tuesday. It had been dumped down the bank by the lookout carpark to Blue lake. I didn't notice any 'no rubbish dumping' signs and I would have though this was common sense but it makes me wonder if the council should put some in. I assume it was dumped by tourists who come to view our beautiful country and then have no respect for it's clean green image.
