hi neighbours,
Tamati Coffey has been warned by a viewer against speaking Māori too often.

The viewer said people would switch off his new programme if he didn't stop speaking Te Reo. So what do you think? Would you change the channel?

Are you considering down-sizing or decluttering? I'm seeking a bookcase that can fit in a space that is 115cm long x 45cm deep - preferably height would include 4 shelves at least. Thanks

When Neighborly 1st started it was all about a site for neighbors & neighborhoods to connect & share. Now we have lengthy adverts about hair salons and adds from AMI (trying to sneak it in amongst "Tips" to keep your home safe). It used to be you could not advertise your own business, you could only recommend a business from personal experience of having used them. I am sick of seeing adds for all sorts of services repeated on a regular basis on this site. Yes, completely understand your truck for hire or gardening or nail manicure businesses need to make money, but this is hijacking a site that for once was about the welfare of everyday people. Encouraging them to connect with each other to minimize isolation, crime, or other ills in our neighborhoods. Advertising is everywhere- tons of forums for it. Please don't allow it to overtake here as well!

A house is more than bricks and mortar and a community is more than a boundary on a map; both are full of memories and comfortable connectedness. If your parent is having a tough time making ends meet, but don’t want to sell their home to fund the things they need or want, consider talking to them about releasing some equity in their home with a Heartland Reverse Mortgage.

1. Set up a Halloween Group for your street! Plan your Halloween evening with your neighbours to see what time everyone is taking the kids out. You could even co-ordinate matching costumes!
2. Download one of our SPOOKY Neighbourly Halloween posters to stick on your house or letterbox for if:
- You welcome all trick or treaters
- You want trick or treaters to stay away
3. Stay in areas of your neighbourhood that are familiar and are well lit. And although Halloween is supposed to be spooky, be careful not to frighten your elderly neighbours by popping out of the dark!
Stay safe and have fun!

Anyone out there know where I can buy mini hamburger buns suitable for canapes/fingerfood. No problems if outside Rotorua only if they deliver. The smaller the buns the better. Cheers
