When Neighborly 1st started it was all about a site for neighbors & neighborhoods to connect & share. Now we have lengthy adverts about hair salons and adds from AMI (trying to sneak it in amongst "Tips" to keep your home safe). It used to be you could not advertise your own business, you could only recommend a business from personal experience of having used them. I am sick of seeing adds for all sorts of services repeated on a regular basis on this site. Yes, completely understand your truck for hire or gardening or nail manicure businesses need to make money, but this is hijacking a site that for once was about the welfare of everyday people. Encouraging them to connect with each other to minimize isolation, crime, or other ills in our neighborhoods. Advertising is everywhere- tons of forums for it. Please don't allow it to overtake here as well!
