WE AT GREY POWER ROTORUA ARE WRINGING, NOT RINGING OUR HANDS !

Grey Power Rotorua

HELP US PUT OUR MAGAZINE THROUGH THE WRINGER !
Remember the old wringers that sat on the washing machine, and crushed your arm if it caught your fingertips ? Grey Power Rotorua needs at least one urgently. Our new magazine publishers do not have a folding service, so the idea is to fold and crush them with that old-fashioned mangle we all remember fondly ! We don't actually need a whole washing machine outfit, just the hand-cranked mangle type ... the graphics are for those who never have seen one ... but if we are offered the electrically run type with washing machine, we can do that.

We don't necessarily need to own it, and can buy and collect it if that is an option. Someone, somewhere must either have one, or know who does !

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
