Hello everyone ! Grey Power Rotorua is shortly to have its annual election of Committee Members. One of those officers is a Secretary, a word that seems to frighten a lot of people as soon as they hear / read it - so please read on!

Really, while we have an official position called Secretary, which, if you wanted to apply, would love to give someone, what we REALLY need, whether you join the Committee or not, is someone / a couple of people to give an hour or so a week to take care of office routine things that involve the internet, using a computer, and the like. Being able to type is pretty useful ! It never involves sales or door knocking or anything of that ilk.

We are totally flexible about the time of day the work gets done, and can operate through all the Clouds there are !! Our office tasks can be broken into discrete task-parcels easily, and we would more more than happy to have you do a set parcel, and find others to do the rest eg we have a Minute Secretary, and hope to have one again. If this could be you, then do let us know, no one is confirmed in the position.

If you are at all looking for somewhere to contribute a little bit of time, perhaps find out a lot of interesting stuff that may help with your own plans for retirement, and meet some awesome volunteers already doing their bit, we'd love to hear from you. You can check us out on our website, and private message me if you wish for more information, or email gpr.miriamruberl@gmail.com

Benefits of Tumeric For Skin: Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits, turmeric can work wonders on many skin conditions. It can also help reduce redness from blemishes and calm skin conditions like eczema and rosacea. Turmeric is excellent for acne because it is a natural antiseptic and helps to keep bacteria from spreading.
For Hair: Fungal infections can also cause hair loss. Curcumin, an active ingredient contained in the rhizome of turmeric has anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antioxidant, antiseptic and antibacterial properties that helps treat many conditions of the scalp.
I have long grey hair which can easily go dry if I use the wrong thing so I am a good guinea pig for my hair shampoo bars. Using this soap I'm amazed. No conditioner, no sign of dry ends, and my hair feels amazing.
Probably my new favourite!

How do we know our Pain Gel works?
1. Customers keep coming back
2. Animals don't lie

Pain Gel has many uses. It has now been around for well over a decade, and sells as fast as we can make it. I am confident it could be helping more people if they a) knew about it and b) realise they can easily give it a try. (Free samples are available when putting an order in, in our online store)
countryherbalsstore.ecwid.com

Pain Gel has:
* Peppermint for anti-inflammatory
* Herbs for Healing
* Works on joint and muscle pain, period pain, sciatica etc.
* Continued use can heal nerve damage (numbness)
* Aloe Vera Gel Base
* A little goes a long way

I have lost track of how many times animals I have helped using Pain Gel - ie birds (chickens, budgies) Can't put leg down, leg/foot hot, and because of pain, not eating. Within minutes of applying just a little on the leg/foot, you see improvement and often they start eating again.
For people - one example are my own knees!
For months they were swollen, I couldn't kneel, I was diagnosed with bursitis. After months of accupunture, and still no improvement, I started putting Pain Gel on once or twice a day, and I am happy to report, I can now see my knees again, and I can kneel! I can't promise miracles, but I do know it has helped many people, otherwise I would not still be making it!
120g $30.00
60g $16.00
(No longer making the 30g as no one was buying it!)

This month we’re rolling up our sleeves, putting up our hands, and saying ‘YES’ to giving our time and skills to projects that make Aotearoa a better place to live.

As a mostly volunteer led organisation, our members know first hand the value and impact that a single volunteer can make in our communities. Imagine then how much can be achieved when several volunteers or even an entire street or neighbourhood decide to work together to achieve the same goal!

Whether you plan to coordinate your own volunteer driven activity, take part in one that’s already been setup, participate in National Volunteer Week (16-22 June), or simply show your own volunteers some extra love this month, know that every bit of effort to give back is a priceless investment in all of our futures.

Want to share your thoughts?

Let us know how you’re getting involved this month by tagging us in your posts + using the following hashtag so we can see what you get up to:

Hello friends and neighbours: We have an increasing pest problem, don't we. Pigeons! And unattended moggies. But we'll come back to them some other time.
Unfortunately these sweet little birdies are not only creating an interesting "look" in the skies" but pooping on our roofs, crapping on our driveways and door steps and courtyards, as well as our lawns and driving all the native birds, sparrows and waxeyes away. Is there a humane way to rid the area of this pestilence? Or do we need to call in a "Pest exterminator"? Something a little more effective than a popgun?? Our Glenholme area is a 'nice area'. We'd like it to stay taht way without the pigeon-poop............
