How will this affect your wages?

The Team from ACC New Zealand

For most workers, part of your wage goes to ACC. We’re proposing you pay more because accidents and medical costs have gone up. If you’re a wage earner, these proposals could affect you.

Learn about all the proposals and have your say at our site by October 25.

Urban Spritz is a ready to use, cost effective guest room air freshener spray that we supply in 5L containers. Attached is a A4 information sheet on Urban Spritz air freshener and an A4 information sheet on our Odour Neutraliser Air Repair 7D-A.
Air Repair 7D-A is a revolutionary odour neutraliser “Air Repair 7D-A”©  is different than nearly all other odour neutralisers or masking agents.
The difference lies in the product makeup: Nearly every product on the market is a blend of essential oils or plant extracts combined with a standard surfactant.  Basic chemistry proves all essential oil and plant extract based products cannot truly neutralise odours; they can only mask them or encapsulate them for a period before releasing them again.
“Air Repair 7D-A” © is an odour neutraliser that removes the odourous compounds by chemically reacting with the offending odour.
This reaction changes the chemical structure of the compounds and changes it into a non-volatile, readily disipatable amine (salt). Because this reaction changes the structure of the offending compounds, it is no longer odourous. “Air Repair” is made from food and cosmetic-grade compounds, is water based, non-hazardous and biodegradable.
For those real problem houses / rooms....You know what I mean...smokers, fryers, curries, fish etc...
Spray it into your home rubbish bin and see what we mean!

Price: $34.50

The NZ Transport Agency has developed a tool that shows predicted traffic flow across popular journeys based on travel patterns from previous years. It can be found here.

Because predicted peak times can change based on incidents, weather and even driver behaviour we suggest that you check here before you leave for accurate information about current road and traffic conditions.

The holiday journeys site shows the busiest areas through Bay of Plenty and Waikato are expected to be the Kaimai Range, State Highway 2 between Paeroa and Waihi and State Highway 2 between Tauranga and Katikati, State Highway 1 north of Hamilton at Taupiri, State Highway 1 south of Cambridge at Karapiro, State Highway 2 at Maramarua and the Coromandel on State Highway 25 at Tairua and Kopu Bridge.

When driving this Labour Weekend, take care to:
- Drive to the conditions, whether it’s the weather, the time of day or amount of traffic
- Take regular breaks to stay alert and ensure fatigue doesn’t affect your driving
- Keep a safe following distance from vehicles in front so you can stop safely
- Be patient - overtaking is unlikely to make a significant difference to your journey time due to the amount of traffic expected over the weekend.
- Allow plenty of time, remember you are on holiday and avoid the need to rush
- Check your car is in good "health" before you head off.

Kia ora water-lovers!

Here are some tips to make sure you and your loved ones are well prepared and stay safe:

1. Check the marine weather forecast before you go out, it could save your life! 58% of boaties already check it. We want the other 42% to make it a habit. MetService New Zealand's Marine App makes it easy.

2. Tests your life jackets. Pull hard on the straps and see if any of them stretch or rip. Check all over for any existing tears in the straps and any cuts or punctures in the life jacket. If yes, do not use the life jacket, dispose of it, and replace it. Always check if it floats before putting them on. Keep in mind kapok life jackets should not be used as they can absorb water and sink, their cotton straps also easily rip! Burn them or bin them, but whatever you do - don't use or resell them.

3. For this year's Safer Boating Week, boaties are being reminded to “Prep, Check, Know” - prepare your boat, check your gear and know the rules before going on the water.

Let's put in the time and effort to make sure there are NO water related accidents or deaths this Labour Day long-weekend! Don't forget to look out for each other and report any concerns you have to local authorities.
