Gone are the days of getting one qualification out of school to see you through your working life. Now, upskilling, online courses and on-the-job training are all part of making your way up the career ladder.

We want to talk to people who have completed micro-credentials, bitesize qualifications for specific skills.

Perhaps you've pieced together a full qualification by doing online courses, or maybe you've taken a workshop rather than investing in a six-month course. We'd love to hear from you - email josephine.franks@stuff.co.nz

it rained!

John from FAMCO Water cartage

Thankful for the rain we received! It is greening the grass, but reportedly and depending on location, not enough for the drinking water tank.
Please check your tank - no need to run out!
Call FAMCO WATER on 0800 456463. We aim to deliver the day you call!

Lola & Friends present The Clothesline Circus at The Globe; it’s the Cancer Society’s 20th annual Relay For Life on Centennial Drive, with the NZ Rural Games taking over Te Marae o Hine/The Square.
It’s the finale of the Globe Theatre’s Summer Sounds Festival; St Paddy’s Day offers all-day live music in the Regent Arcade, and Potted Potter - with ‘more hoots than a hedgerow of Hedwigs’ - continues its family-friendly season at Centrepoint Theatre.
