The Nelson Mail will be delivered as usual, but will be rolled in plastic, rather than flat, to prevent it blowing away and hopefully keep it dry. This is still dependent on the road remaining open later this evening. We will keep you posted.

Even now some people are still doing it. What? The art of woolcraft – spinning, knitting, weaving, felting, crocheting.
With the resurgence of interest in this wonderful and satisfying artform, the Richmond Creative Fibre Group has decided to offer a chance to learn fibre craft to anyone interested who doesn't get the chance to do so on a weekly bases.
The last Sunday for the next 3 months at Birch Hall at the A&P Grounds in Richmond, from 1.30 to 3.30pm, the Richmond Group are having meetings to help cater for any teenagers and older wanting to learn or get help on any of the wool crafts. Experienced people will be there who will be able to give a guiding hand. The Group is asking for a gold coin donation for the afternoon. Tea and coffee will be provided.
So the Sunday dates are 25 March, 29 April, and 27 May 2018. 1.30 to 3.30pm

We reported the results this weekend - and they were fascinating.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it reveals our most loyal meat-eaters are in farming provinces like Southland, Manawatu-Wanganui and Taranaki, where nearly two-thirds of us eat meat most days. By comparison, fewer than half of respondents in Wellington, Auckland and Northland eat that much meat. More than a third of Aucklanders and Cantabrians say they are reducing their meat consumption; another 13 per cent have already cut it from their diets entirely.
>> So here's a question: should city-dwellers be supporting our farmers better, given they're still the backbone of our economy? Or do farmers and the rest of us need to be working together to find new solutions - new premium meats, new meat alternatives - to reflect reducing meat consumption around the world?

Does anyone know of anywhere in Nelson except Mana book store (cheaper) that sells Bibles? Is there a 2nd hand Christian book shop, or a church that sells them? On Trademe you can't see the inside. Thanks.
