“Unfortunately the additional costs are too high and the Council has decided it must look at other options for resolving our serious summer water shortages” Tasman Mayor Richard Kempthorne said.
“Water conservation is going to be increasingly important from now on, so we’ll be looking at education and information for the public on how to reduce their summer water use. We would encourage businesses and industry to think about their operations and develop Water Shortage Plans in preparation for possible summer restrictions.”
Urgent work on an alternative to the dam to secure the urban water supply would need to begin immediately. In the meantime, significant water take cuts are required by both urban and rural water users until another solution is developed.

This Saturday, depending on fine weather, I am organising a working bee at an ex-cyclone Gita residential property that is showing slow progress.
I require up to 10 volunteers to assist in clearing vines, dirt from around house and trees, and other small tasks. Ideally some volunteers can bring their own wheelbarrows, and all dirt diggers require own shovels.
This superannuant needs her life back!
LET'S HELP HER BACK INTO HER HOME project.

The 2009 Honda Fit is a bulletproof, reliable compact car. It has exceptional cargo capacity, responsive steering and a great look.
It also has great fuel economy, good road visibility and little road noise. The dash is well laid out and simply looks cool!

ON THE ROAD
Handling is excellent - being super sharp and responsive. You can feel the road through the wheel. Pedal response is sharp and responsive as well.
CARGO
The rear seats can fold completely flat giving this car an added boost of space. Definitely a plus!

I'm looking for manuka to use as firewood in 2019. Current status could be green or dry , as branches or as "logs" or already cut up into firewood size. Happy to pick up if within "reasonable" distance of Mapua!

What do you call six women stranded on a mountain in the rain: ridiculous! Or you could call them social climbers … but just not to their faces! Once at the hut, not only do they unload their packs full of food, wine, and a souvenir rock; their hang-ups get unloaded as well.

Once at the hut, not only do they unload their packs full of food, wine, and a souvenir rock; their hang-ups get unloaded as well.
Torrential rain and a flooded bridge keep them stranded for three days. What they get up to, to help pass the time, raises a few eyebrows and will have you laughing, tearing up and applauding enthusiastically as they bare all.
Of course, it’s not just souls that are exposed, there’s a little nudity, a cracking thunderstorm, explosions, screaming bloody murder, ghostly stories, a birthday celebration, a séance, a drunken party, confessions, meltdowns and revelations that will keep you and your friends entertained throughout.
Perfectly timed for your own social group’s ascent into summer, don’t miss this hilarious play when it comes to a town near you in November.

I'm looking for a small amount of insulation to finish a project. Not Pink Batts or fibreglass, but one of the wool options. If anyone has any remnants I would appreciate a message. Thanks.

I noticed today that the roof area is festooned with small orange flags and wondered why. Is it to frighten the birds off or perhaps they are not far away from opening and these are celebratory decorations for that event.Hope someone knows as I thought that the opening was some time away....
