When was the last time you had a cup of REALLY fresh milk?

Riverside Milk comes fresh from the morning milking and is ready for consumption once the team has filled it into the vending machine around lunchtime. We follow the European model of providing raw milk straight from the farm to the table.

Get your milk whenever you want! Our milk vending service is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply bring a clean bottle, put your coins (or notes) into the vending machine and receive daily fresh, whole cream milk.

$3 a litre. At Riverside Milk (next to Riverside Cafe), 289 Main Road Lower Moutere. 7 minute drive from Motueka High Street.

See you soon...

Please note that Riverside Milk is raw milk. The Ministry of Primary Industries requires all raw milk providers to advise of the following: 'Raw milk may contain Microorganisms that can cause serious illness. To reduce the risk of illness, the raw milk should be heated to at least 70 degrees celcius for at least one minute. This is critical for infants, young children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems.*

NZ Compare proudly employ a workforce of incredibly talented and devoted individuals, who make up our website and technology development team. These individuals are based through out the Ukraine.

Like the rest of the world, we have been closely monitoring the terrible events unfolding in Ukraine and are in daily meetings with our staff to confirm their safety and well-being.

Our wonderful developers are facing a climate of unpredictability, we felt it was our responsibility to ensure you, our wonderful Neighbours were both aware and understanding that this environment may cause delays to the many projects we have in the works for 2022.

To show support of our brilliant team, we have temporarily changed our logo on our NZ Compare website. WHICH has also been recently refreshed and looking better than ever thanks to this very team! Go check it out!

Everyone should have a close look at the Nelson/Tasman Development Plan and respond during the consultation period.

In particular residents of the Moutere hills should look at the proposal to develop 200+ha of farmland to urban style housing. This tract of land is Rural 1 located between the Moutere Hwy and Tasman View Road. Very oddly it is being described as part of a “new” settlement based on Tasman Village (5km away!). Tasman Village itself is scheduled for further development.

For years the Council has proclaimed that productive farmland should be preserved from development, and when the Rural 3 area was created we were told that would allow controlled development along the coastal strip and take pressure off encroachment of development into inland farmland. But the first time a land speculator/developer puts up a proposal council planners cave.

Council planners accept that this development is not needed to meet projected population growth/housing needs.

This is the thin end of a wedge that could be the beginning of the destruction of the rural nature of the Moutere hills. Farmland is important for the future economic benefit of the whole area, it should not be sacrificed to speculators.

Ratepayers/residents need to make their voices heard if we are to preserve our productive land for the benefit of future generations.

PLEASE do not leave your chicken bones on the footpaths or streets as my little dog always finds them and I have to wrestle them out of her mouth. It is extremely dangerous for a dog to eat cooked chicken bones as they splinter and have needle sharp shards which can pierce their stomach and intestines. Folk who eat their Kentucky Fried and then throw their trash out the car window are the greatest culprits. Please enjoy your food but save your trash for the rubbish bin.
