Hi, all regular Cinema goers,
and to any new people who think they might like to go to the movies which we’ve been showing for the last 6+ years

This time there will be a classic:

Grease the movie!

Showing @ 6:30pm Sunday 20th November at Mapua's popular hall

Well, we all know the story of Grease, the movie, and we are going show it as our last movie of ’22 to acknowledge the beauty, the energy and the enthusiasm of the young and as a tribute to Olivia Newton John

We’d love you to come along and farewell Olivia: Sing, and dance and laugh in her honour, she’s been a treasure, we’ve all grown to admire throughout her rocky life

We’d also like to thank our sponsors :The Sprig and Fern, and also The Architecture Studio, who have supported the Packhouse Cinema since our beginnings— its been a massive help, as have of course all you great movie fans who have weathered some”interesting” ??? movies

This time, just come and enjoy, wear your leathers if you like, or a blond wig, or have your comb poking out of your back pocket (if you’re a guy!!!) skintight jeans, and bring your singing voice. Sit back and think how lucky we have all once been, so young and carefree, and mostly better looking than we are now !!!!!

WITH ANY LUCK THERE MAY BE CE CREAMS?

All income from this event will go towards the Mapua Community Hall!

Cheers,

Peter & Di, Reinhard & Angelika

As usual some of us meet at the Sprig & Fern before the movie for bite and/or a dring. A table will be reserved

Nelson Repertory Theatre presents Camelot The Panto, the story of the love between Princess Guinevere and the handsome Prince Arthur.

The romance appears doomed to failure when the Princess is kidnapped at the wedding by the evil Morgan Le Fay and her followers Valerin the Vicious and his Mum, together with Knight Marlon and Garlon the invisible knight.

But the evil kidnappers did not reckon with the determination of Nurse Connie Clatterbottom and her friends Laughalot and a dancing bear called Teddy, as well as the returning powers of Merlin.

This is a pantomime to be enjoyed by all ages with lots of laughs, wonderful songs and plenty of magic.

Learn how to make a mild hard cheese that ripens within weeks. Wednesday, 30th November, 6.30 pm to 8.30pm in Lower Moutere.

This will be the last Cheese Making Workshop for a little while, so book your spot early to not miss out

Your tutor Tanja has decades of experience in cheese making and processing. She is passionate about good food and has a “no fuss” approach to cooking and baking of all kinds.

In addition to tasting homemade cheese goodies, participants will also be taken through the process of making the cheese, so that they can go home feeling confident to follow the recipe in their own kitchen.

$40 per person. Limited to 12 participants. Registrations essential: www.riverside.org.nz...

This workshop is proudly sponsored by the Riverside Community Trust. Please contact Tanja at education@riverside.org.nz to discuss sponsorship options.

Please note that we will be using Riverside Milk which is RAW milk and may not be suitable for everyone's consumption. The Ministry of Primary Industries advises the following: ‘Raw milk may contain microorganisms that can cause serious illness. To reduce the risk of illness, raw milk should be heated to at least 70 degree Celsius for one minute. This is critical for infants, young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems.’
