HPV-related cancers take a long time to develop, the viruses are mostly transmitted by teenagers and young adults but often aren’t diagnosed until later. That’s why it’s important for children to be immunised when they are young. Around 80% of people will be exposed to HPV at some point in their life. Protecting children before they are exposed to HPV will protect their health in the future.

We have some more information on the apartments to be built in the former NZ Post building.
Porirua council has sold the building to The Wellington Company which is owned by Ian Cassels.
The company will lease the building for two years (at a cost of $100,000) while they undertake seismic strengthening and convert it to apartments, they will then pay a further $300,000.
Council purchased the building in 2014 for $570,000.
There will be about 43 apartments - mainly one bedroom - which will be rented out.
The project manager is unsure of what the rental price will be but expects they will be ready before the end of the year.
The tenants are likely to be Whitireia students, Wellington commuters and people who will be based in Porirua over the working week.
What do you think? We'd love to hear more feedback.

- In a large local tsunami causing earthquake, roads may be damaged or blocked, so include walking.
- Don't wait for an official warning, there may not be time in a local source tsunami.
