If you visited in Spring to view the tulips you will see how very different a seasonally planted garden can appear at various times of the year. At the moment the perennial sunflowers are in full bloom, the border is a vibrant mix of colours, the jungle is lush and beautiful dahlias are dotted here, there and everywhere. We are very proud to say that our garden is to be featured in the New Zealand Gardener in a couple of months time so if you would like to experience the real life version please come and visit this Sunday.
Entry by donation please.

If spare time is a rarity - not to worry! This year’s Givealittle page is now live and we’re aiming to fundraise $25,000 for the Tasman Environment Trust. All money raised will go towards the purchase of bait and bait stations to continue and expand wasp control operations.
Find out more about this destructive pest by reading through our new interactive feature on Stuff which explores the tools we have in the fight to rid wasps from New Zealand for good.

The council introduced the by-law just before Christmas citing the need to offset a rates increase of 7.65 per cent.
The council has subsequently taken a hammering on social media, with residents arguing that with Covid-19 impacting negatively on shopkeepers, paid parking would force people to shop elsewhere.
Councillors on Thursday morning resolved to suspend paid parking until March 2023.

We are close to finishing our Phase One rat and mustelid (stoat/weasel) eradication on the Miramar Peninsula. Our Phase Two eradication involves 19 suburbs - from Kilbirnie around to Ōwhiro Bay and up through to the CBD.
We're looking for household sign-ups in these suburbs. This involves the installation of traps/bait stations on or near your property. It's FREE and the devices are FULLY SERVICED by our team.
Our team will be working in Houghton Bay, Island Bay, and Ōwhiro Bay over the next few weeks. We will be pounding the pavements, knocking on doors, putting up posters - and getting people excited about becoming predator free.
