Should the kids have been made to stand?

Reporter Kapi-Mana News

On a train tonight, a mother was sitting by her two kids who were about three or four years old. They had headphones on and were entertained. A woman in her 50s got on the train with a friend. They had headphones on and were entertained. A woman in her 50s got on the train with a friend. She walked up to where the kids were sitting, sort of gave them a long look, then stood at the end of the carriage once it was obvious they were not worried. The woman, who was you know average weight etc before we get into that sort of thing, then complained to her friend about the kids and especially their mum for not shifting.
I am not sure if she is right or wrong here.
If the mum told the kids to move for the women, they might’ve got bored on the long trip - at least a half hour or more - and maybe got dirty sitting on the floor or annoyed people on the busy train right?
So what should happen?
The women did not appear physically disabled - just grumpy.

It would've been cool to see them in Porirua. So where would people have taken them? Where would you have recommended the royals visit if they had, say, a day to visit Porirua?

Hi there

I am making an effort to raise funds for the Movember foundation you can donate here mobro.co....

I have shaved off my 5 year old beard and discovered my lower face can actually get quite cold.

Joking aside, I know a few people who have suffered from poor mental health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. I am trying to raise funds to help make a change for people in these situations and make people more aware of their own health - especially the "she will be right" typical kiwi male who often avoids going to the doctor at all cost.

I would really appreciate your donations through the link above.

If you can't afford to donate, that's OK I understand. Times can be pretty tough for some people at the moment. There is other ways you can help though.

Start your own #Movemeber campaign through this link nz.movember.com... or share my "mospace" with your friends and family, maybe even your colleagues.

Thanks for your donations and don't forget to check the link to follow my mustache growth expedition!

Thoughts on the $1.5 billion housing plan nailed down for Porirua?

It is understood the plan – to be done in partnership with local iwi Ngāti Toa over the next 15 years – will involve redeveloping roughly 2000 state houses in Eastern Porirua, and about 850 state houses in Western Porirua including Titahi Bay. However, critics say they’re dangerous and people are injured by them every year. Fans, on the other hand, argue that all fun involves some level of risk, it just needs to be managed safely.

Last year, we saw a 23% drop in the number of fireworks-related injury claims (171 claims across 2017 versus 223 across 2016). What do you think? Should personal fireworks be banned? Click here for advice on how to use fireworks responsibly.
