Russian-Italian violist extraordinaire, Anna Serova, will perform the NZ premiere of Boris Pigovat's achingly beautiful "Poem of Dawn" and the world premiere of Roberto Molinelli's extraordinary "Lady Walton's Garden", rich with Argentinean flavour, rhythms and excitement - don't be surprised if it breaks into some tango dancing - anything is possible! Roger Myers (USA) will feature in Schumann's enchanting "Fairy Tale Pictures" and Roger Benedict (Australia) will feature in Walton’s Viola Concerto. This promises to be a New Zealand cultural highlight of the year.

Innovative Young Minds (IYM) is designed to attract and engage young women to the field of technology. Targeted at Year 11 and Year 12 students, IYM was a week-long residential programme that ran from 9-14 July, 2017.
It’s well known that diversity in the workplace leads to more innovation. Women are under-represented in the STEMM sector (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and manufacturing) and Hutt Science (a Hutt City Council initiative), Rotary Hutt City and Hutt Valley High School want to change that.
Congratulations to everyone who completed the 2017 programme on the 14th July. Details for 2018 will be posted by October.
