Movin’ March celebrates the benefits of walking, scooting and biking to school. The month long event is run by Greater Wellington in partnership with local councils and is free for primary schools in the Wellington region.

Walking, cycling and scooting to school have many benefits for tamariki. As well as being a great opportunity for regular exercise in the outdoors, they improve independence, physical and mental health, decision making, risk assessment and road safety skills.

Metlink is making minor changes to its rail timetable on the Kapiti Line to increase capacity during the morning peak, and to improve punctuality of service in the morning and afternoon peak.

The changes, to come into effect on 25 February, include the permanent introduction of a recent trial of an additional morning train departing Waikanae and a stopping schedule change to increase capacity for users of Porirua Station.

This will mean a change in timetable for people travelling from Plimmerton/Mana/Paremata. Visit www.metlink.org.nz... for more information.
