The 2021 AGM of Coastal Ratepayers United Inc will be held on Saturday 13 November 2020 from 1.00 – 3pm at the Senior Citizens Hall, 45 Ocean Road, Paraparaumu Beach.
The keynote speaker will be the former NZ Prime Minister, Rt Hon James Bolger ONZ PC, who has been appointed as Chair of the Community Assessment Panel (CAP) set up to support Takutai Kāpiti, KCDC’s community-led coastal adaption project.
New members are important to keeping up our effectiveness. If these issues concern you, come to the AGM and hear what is being done and how you can take part.

"I am a very talkative girl who is always up for a chat with my special human. I have a lot to say, especially when you pat me! I'm also very affectionate, with a particular affinity for head butts, pats, and being picked up. Being slow and steady in your interactions with me is really important, as I can get nervous and unsettled when approached too quickly or intensely.
I'm not your typical lap cat during the day, but at night I want nothing more than to be by your side, whether that's sleeping on you or near you. I love bean bags, and temptation treats (in moderation of course!). I'm not always down to play, but when I'm in the mood, I love ping pong balls and stringy toys!
I'm looking for a quiet home with indoor/outdoor access, and that gives me space and independence when I need it. I would prefer a home without other animals or children as my mood can sometimes change quickly if I feel threatened or am unsure of my surroundings."

He entertained, he challenged our intellects (yeah right!) he poked fun, he encouraged, he ridiculed and all in the best and funniest way. It was definitely an evening to remember and certainly lifted our tired spirits for an hour so that we could be transported and reminded how to laugh at ourselves and forget what was happening in the world outside. Many members had the opportunity to shine, or not, and prizes, booby and otherwise, (such as a copy of the Kama Sutra won by Les or the $100 dinner voucher won by Rhondda) were handed out when correct answers were provided, albeit not necessarily by the candidates.
