Mountain Buggy Swift pram, bassinet and capsule bundle. We ended up swapping to a pram that could convert to a double haha!

Mountain Buggy Swift frame in silver (light grey). Purchased new and used for less than 6 months so in fantastic condition! Well cared for and kept clean and dry. Main seat never used. (RRP $769)

Phil & Teds capsule with universal car seat base and capsule clips for it to clip to the Mountain Buggy Swift frame. Again used for less than 6 months, hasn’t been in an accident and handled with care. Got this capsule rather than the Mountain Buggy one as the two brands are interchangeable but I liked the fabrics on this capsule more. Inner has been washed, seat has been spot cleaned and has some minor fabric brushing (pictured) but no major spills/accidents, and newborn wedge in excellent condition. (RRP $269 capsule, $219 base, $59.99 adapters)

Mountain buggy travel cot/parent facing seat in black with attachment clips. Cot has been used a handful of times max and seat unused. (RRP $329)

All instruction manuals also included.

Comes from a smoke/vape free home

Price: $1,200

Bought as a set with the cot however not used for very long before we ended up doing most changes on-the-go.

www.mocka.co.nz... RRP: $299.95

In excellent secondhand condition, only flaw is that some of the baskets we had on the shelves seem to have marked the surfaces slightly but not detrimental to look or use of the change table. See pics.

The three baskets we ended up using on the top shelf do not scratch so I’d recommend this woven style. The handles are now only there for looks as the structural wire in them was broken to fold them down but they’re now the perfect height for these shelves. Available for an extra $20.

Comes from a smoke/vape-free home.

Pick up Paraparaumu Beach.

Open to offers.

Tilly and her brother Preston are looking for a new home. Can you help them.

"I am a big lover of all things treats and cuddles, and will win you over the first chance I get! My brother and I haven't had the best life before arriving at the SPCA but have since had a bit of a makeover and are feeling better as each day passes. We love having the human companionship and comfort of home life but it doesn't compare to the real thing! Now is the time where we are ready to find a home who is committed to dog ownership and all it involves. I am not suited to a home with cats or smaller animals. I would prefer a home either with my brother Preston or by myself. If I do go home by myself, I'd want someone home part time or full time. I am not keen on places like dog parks or daycare. To be honest, the perfect day would be a nice walk then lazing at home! I'm more comfortable with adults or teenage children than little humans."

For several years a pilot youth justice initiative has been running in Porirua, is to be replicated in Gisborne and Hamilton, and then nationwide. It is unique to NZ and has attracted a lot of interest from overseas.

Who knew? Well, we do now, since Sergeant Karen Vaughan addressed us last evening. She is the police prosecutor in the Porirua District Court, following a career in which she was involved in a string of high-profile cases, including child abuse and family violence.

The pilot stems from unease among some judges that young offenders’ lives can become blighted after they are convicted of relatively minor offences. Cognitive development is not complete until age 25 or so, and many offenders in the youth court have just been thoughtless or foolish. They could, with help, go on to lead productive lives. The key is to discharge them without conviction under section 106, under certain conditions.

The offenders must be under 25, and agree to a follow a personal plan which might involve education, training (eg defensive driving), counselling, and community work.

The rationale is that intervention, prevention, and integration back into the community benefits everyone.

The pilot has been running for over 2 years, during which time there have been 500 cases in the pilot programme, and recidivism is less than 1%.

We should follow the fortunes of this pilot closely. It is an alternative to the ‘lock ‘em up’ policy which often finds popular support in NZ, and if it works across the board, we will all profit by it.
