The latest statistics from Cert NZ show cyber crime reports from January to March incurred financial losses up to $6 million - a 66% increase on the same time last year. So, it's becoming increasingly difficult to avoid these scams - do you think you can spot a scam?

He had information about me and spoke like a health professional. He provided his name and phone number and was very convincing with his smooth talk and knowledge. I was cautious but it was later when I was coerced to order vitamin supplements to improve my metabolism and Paypal was mentioned, the red flags appeared. When I resisted giving any details and not wanting to buy anything he turned narsacystic and said I must be insane to think that he was a scammer with all the knowledge that he had shared with me. He said the time he spent with me had cost him money etc.
I contacted the police who were very supportive and said to contact Cert NZ who said it was a definitely scam that had appeared recently.

The Paul Harris Fellow award, named after Rotary founder, expresses recognition for leadership and exemplary service to communities. It is my honour on behalf of RCoP to award you, Rangatira Helmut Modlik a Paul Harris Fellow and by doing so, recognise those who have gone before you and come after you. We look to partner with Ngāti Toa Rangatira over our next 50 years.

The lady who posted it said: "Hi Tawa Community, I’ve had a friendly chat with a tradie over at the 64 Redwood Ave site. It sounds like the debris will be removed and the land levelled out over the coming two weeks. This means there will be a significant hive of activity with trucks, diggers etc. at that part of Redwood Ave. I bring this up in the name of good communication because Redwood Ave is now the re-route for the northbound lane of Main Rd (from Outlet City roundabout) until Dec 20th and this work may affect traffic flow at times. Construction on the 4 units sounds like it might begin around early August, from what I could glean from the lovely man I spoke to. If anyone knows more detailed information it would be great if they could share, so others can know what to expect and plan accordingly. Hopefully this helps people know what to expect and plan their travel."
