Supply from rivers in Wainuiomata has dropped out, and now we’re using a lot more water from our storage lakes.

Lake usage has averaged about 41MLD over the last week, and levels have dropped 9% in the last week.

Catchments are still very dry, and there isn’t much rain on the forecast! Please continue to observe water restrictions until they come off, and of course, always use water wisely.

*These graphs indicate demand in Porirua, Wellington, Lower Hutt, and Upper Hutt.

John Neighbourly Lead from Titahi Bay

A while back the Titahi Bay Community Group asked the community what sort of public exercise equipment they would like to see, and what was the best place for it. We fed that back to the Porirua City Council and it is now a reality, at the north (Dimock Street) end of Onepoto Park. Some of you have discovered it and it has been getting regular use. So come along for its official opening between 11 and 12 this coming Saturday (March 21). Wear your lycra and compete for the most chin-ups or the longest hand-stand.
