Poll: Have you ever flown in to or out of Kāpiti Coast Airport?
Kāpiti Coast Airport's future hangs in the balance. As its owners mull over its economic viability in a Covid-19 impacted air travel environment, locals argue it should be kept for the financial benefits and convenience it brings.
A Kāpiti Coast District Council report estimates the airport has an annual economic benefit of $4.3m based largely on travel and time savings for residents. The 40 hectare sight could go a long way to helping relieve the Wellington region's housing shortage.
Let us know if you have used the airport by voting on the poll, and tell us in the comments if you think it is worth keeping or not.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
