We are looking to reward our local youth who are leading the way; in school, on the sports field, on the stage, or in the community. Different from most awards, the Porirua Youth Awards recognises youth in two age categories, junior (12-15 year olds) and senior (16-18 year olds).

Virtuoso Strings Orchestra recently completed a very successful 8-day, 7-concert tour of the South Island. On Saturday night, the 28th of July, you have to chance to hear the same Programme at 7pm at Aotea College.

Families welcome! We have an MC to keep it light and interesting – even if you don't usually attend classical music concerts, you'll enjoy the infectious enthusiasm of these talented kids!

The music ranges from Vivaldi's "Summer" through a Shostakovich string quartet to lighter music, including Beatles songs.
