What? Two ACE Fishing Charters' 4-hour trips around Mana Island's best spots

When? Tuesday October 2nd. (Weather postponement dates of October 3rd or 4th if required)

Two time slots: 7.30am-11.30am or 12.30pm-4.30pm on the same day

Why? For an epic fishing experience;
to teach kids about fishing;
for a sight-seeing trip;
to celebrate a birthday;
work-do;
team-building exercise;
because it will help send Titahi Bay Intermediate's kids to their school camp/create equity for students to take part in activities.

Cost? $100 per person including rod hire, bait, tackle & burly or you can BYO.

NB: gropher & hapuka are unlikely to be caught as they lurk further out.

The annual refugee quota will lift from 1000 to 1500 by July 2020, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced this week. Before 2016 the refugee quota sat static at 750 for 30 years, well behind many other western nations. The National Government then raised it to 1000. Is it enough?

Mac's owner Lion is recalling some of its non-alcoholic ginger beer, which may have been incorrectly filled with beer.

The batches of Mac's Non-Alcoholic Ginger Beer carrying the false labels have a best before date of March 20 or 21, 2019.

"This recall does not affect any other batches of this or any other Mac's brand product," a recall notice said

Lion apologised, and offered a full refund to customers if they had the incorrect product. Customers with the product should contact Lion on 0800 835 554.
