This means there is a ban on sprinklers and irrigation systems. You can use handheld watering devices at any time, on any day, so long as you don't leave them unattended.
These restrictions are essential to ensure we have enough water to supply the entire region. This follows the recent warm and dry weather, a significant spike in water use, and dropping river levels.

The squad is unable to travel overseas due to Covid restrictions so, with a desire to stay match fit, they are taking part in the Bula Fiji 7s at Porirua Park.
The team last played in May last year, in a series against Australia (pictured) in Auckland.
They will join 19 other teams, such as Hawke's Bay Fijians, Canterbury Fijians and West Auckland Fijians, in the all-day tournament.
- Saturday January 22, 8am start, final is expected about 5.30pm. $5 entry. Please note that you will need a vaccine pass to enter Porirua Park and wearing of masks is encouraged.
