TEACHERS STRIKE! PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS! NZ MIGHT AS WELL HAVE A NZ STRIKE DAY ALL WORKERS!

Hi everyone, Matt here. I am not a teacher, but I want to get something off my mind and chest if any one wants me talk about this but I am going to anyways.

There is going to be a Teachers Strike in November from what I heard in the 1 news last night. Any teacher who is on this neighbourly web page can fill me on any details when they wish.

I can understand the argument, apparently teachers work 40-80 plus every week and are not getting enough pay because of the rising costs in Auckland or NZ in general. Also the secondary school teachers have also declined the higher offer (can't remember the percentage).

The other point I am going to make is if this is going to happen to primary and secondary schools, I wonder about the intermediate school teachers. I wonder if they will have a say about their pay rises next?

The third point is more a general point is this. Our world is falling apart all over us. Teachers are going on strike, pay of anything and everything is going up, house prices here in Auckland are getting way too high and expensive to live in. Jobs, yes they are here now, but what could a job look like in years to come, is any job safe in our near future, is our next generation of children, eg our own kids going to grow up fixing robots when they get older? We need to think about these things seriously but be more aware of what we need to do now when these changes come into being.

I will say this as a christian. We are living in these end times. We have seen so many disasters across this world that we are seeing God's Word come into light. These disasters are just the tip of the iceberg. If no one believes me that we are not in these end times search on Google "living in end times today" and their will be lots of links showing about the times that we are in today.

As I wrote in the title, We Kiwis might as well have a permanent day called NZ Strike Day! I do not have a particular reason for this but because of other strikes that NZ has had this year, we should have a day that should be called NZ Strike Day so that everyone who has been working without issues should be included with the people who have had actual strikes if this makes sense.

Matt.
