Clearwater Mussels has already been refused two renewed consents after concerns the farm would affect King Shags, and the farms were closed. Despite this, the company's application to operate a reconfigured, existing three-hectare mussel farm was granted earlier this month.

What are your thoughts about this? Do you think more importance should be put on protecting the King Shags?
