Marlborough community Constable Russ Smith said during this time of year, there tends to be an increase of criminal activity around theft, particularly around residential properties where thieves may suspect, or think, there is an opportunity to obtain items of more value.

Your crate shouldn’t be overflowing and don’t leave stuff on the pavement - collection trucks can only pick up the contents of one crate per household.
While Christmas wrapping paper can be recycled, shiny foil wrapping cannot - it has a plastic content that’s not suitable for recycling.
