Her Te Puru home was one of the worst hit in early January, when the Coromandel Peninsula took a pounding as northeasterly gales, a low-pressure system and a king tide combined to cause widespread damage to roads, coastal properties and low-lying areas. Unfortunately, experts say there could be more of the same in the future.
